Many times when I'm designing a map, I use the elements and/or symbology pane to fine tune the look and feel. If I'm creating a map heading/sub-heading, working with other text elements, or creating a unique symbology palette, I'm using the same contextual or formatting tabs many times over to find the right look. It would be very helpful if the Panes didn't reset to the default position each time I click out of said pane. If I'm formatting text, I'd like to click one text element, set the font, font color, size/weight, and then move to the next text element without clicking through the formatting tabs to get back to the "Text Symbol" > "Formatting", for example, over and over again. Can we have the option to leave the last contextual menu open until you move to a different pane?
