Hello,
I noticed that when I publish a service from ArcMap to arcgis.com that the labels are not displayed in arcgis.com. It would be useful if labels were displayed after publishing a map.
I do not like the current process of updating a map from ArcMap to arcgis.com which is:
- Open ArcMap
- Sign in to arcgis.com
- Share a service / Overwrite an existing service
- Open arcgis.com
- Open the layer(s) that you updated.
- Configure labels for each layer every time you update the map.
- Save the layer.
If labels were kept we could streamline the process to:
- Open ArcMap
- Sign in to arcgis.com
- Share a service / Overwrite an existing service
Futhermore it would also be useful if "update data in arcgis.com" could be tied into ArcCatalog.
*Note, I do understand that arcgis.com has a much simplier label engine than ArcMap. So I dont except every label option to come across from publishing. I would just like to see the default class, and label expression automatically display.
Thanks
