The Requirement: We need a Table Layout element that functions as a designable container rather than just a dynamic data-viewer. ArcGIS Pro currently forces a rigid grid that iterates through data; we need the ability to design a fixed table structure first and then "plug in" data sources to specific cells.
Requested Features (Restoring ArcMap Graphic Table Element Capabilities): We request the return of the precision controls previously available in the ArcMap Graphic Table Element (GTE):
Design-Driven Layout: The ability to create an "Interactive Table" with a fixed number of rows and columns defined at the design stage, not driven by the record count of a layer.
Individual Cell Formatting: Manual control over absolute height and width (mm/in) for individual cells (as seen in the old Table Design dialog).
Direct Data Binding: The ability to map specific data source fields or properties to individual cells within the table, allowing the table to function like a collection of aligned dynamic text boxes.
Element Stacking: Support for adding multiple elements (text, symbols, or check-boxes/marker symbols) into a single cell, similar to the ArcMap Elements Pane.
The Benefit: Restoring these "designable container" features would allow professional cartographers to meet strict regulatory geometric specifications natively. This eliminates the current need for complex ArcPy workarounds that manually draw thousands of individual lines and text elements to simulate a table.
