A lot of users neve need save or use ArcGIS Pro project, they only need map files, but in current ArcGIS Pro, everything seem to tie to Pro project, when save project, it save a lot of garbage in the file system, this is extremely annoying, I only need to work with map file which is .mapx, and never ask to save pro project or at least provide option save project or just save .mapx file.
So it is very useful to add button to save current active map file, without going to share then map file ..., especially a lot of cases, I have have a project with multiple maps, I even don't know where each map document were saved, so it is great to provide real file path of .mapx file under map's properties popup. The reason I use project file with a lot of maps, just because I have no choice to work only mapx file and I don't need to have a lot of file directories in my computer.
If Pro allow to open .mapx file directly without having to save a Pro project, and capable to just click save button to save .mapx file, that would save us a lot of time.
