In the same way that we can Export Map to pdf or jpg etc it would be immensly helpful if we could export a map to CAD (say dwg). I know we can export layers to CAD but that does not export layout content. It would be great if both data layers and layout content (title blocks etc) could be exported to CAD. This functionality would be hugely helpful to those of us in the engineering sector.
Through the combination of ArcGIS Pro, services, and ArcGIS for AutoCAD, the following can be carried out to work with content that is in addition to feature layers:
If you author and share a map, then the CAD team can add the corresponding service to drawings in any of Autodesk AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Map 3D.
Hi!
I am sorry to see that export of layout to DWG is closed.
Even if it is technically possible to do as you write above it is not according to how local government/utility companies work in Sweden regarding to how they can expose their internal data externally.
They work with their own data in many different stages and then export to contractors/entrepreneurs back and forward. They will not open up data thru services from a security perspective especially within the utility (water & sewage) area.
Are there any other alternatives to solve this without opening up via services and still maintain coordinate system in the layout to the exported DWG?
Best Regards
