Please add the option of either copying or auto-populating over to the different sections under the General tab while publishing data from its metadata. Similarly, if the metadata is not there, then there could be an option to copy over or auto-populate the info you type under the General section to the feature class and hosted layer metadata. This can help in avoiding to type redundant info in either sections i.e. items details page or metadata

This is already offered in ArcGIS Pro. A layer's metadata is automatically populated in the Sharing pane when the layer is shared. Publishing honors metadata. In other words, web layers store the metadata of what was shared such as the entire map, group layer, and so forth. See the following help topic for more information: Web layer metadata

Good morning Jonah thank you for the quick response yes i am aware of that i was talking more in terms of auto-populating the items details page info (title, summary, description, tags and etc.) by copying over the info from the feature class metadata (if it's there)

never mind i see Johnah, please disregard my last comment. The problem is that when I publish a feature class, Pro is leaving out metadata summary, description sections as empty, even these sections have been filled in Pro. So, once i typed those on the AGOL items details page metadata section, they also appeared on the main item details page.
