Contents pane box selection

When selecting multiple layers in the Contents pane, I would like to have the option to select content the same way I am being used to from a File Explorer: by dragging a rectangle on the items I want to select. I am aware of the CTRL and SHIFT options.

• Select layers with rectangular marquee in TOC (like Windows Explorer).

But since that "idea" contains 8 individual ideas meaning it is impossible to determine which of the 8 users are voting for, we'll keep this one open for this specific request.
