Use combining Globe/Scene in 1 app as stepping stone to combining Globe/Scene into single ArcGIS umbrella app. Instead of Layout/Data View have Layout/2D/3D View toggle.
It would be good for ESRI to resolve the ArcGlobe/ArcScene situation.
ESRI tech support told me several years ago ArcScene was old-technology and was no longer being developed or improved, and that ArcGlobe is the successor product. They told me it would be best to move my apps to ArcGlobe. Still ArcScene continues to be released with each new version of ArcGIS to support those who have apps that use it.
How about combining Arcscene, ArcGlobe, and ArcMap into one product? Google Earth is a useful visual tool for working with elevation/terrain. Why can't ArcMap work like Google Earth?
