It would be helpful to be able to choose specific layers from the active map to symbolize in the Vertices and Nodes settings for the option selected (Line Endpoints, Lines, or Points, Multipoints, Lines and Polygons), instead of being limited to Editable Layers, Snappable Layers, or Visible Layers. The menu could have the option to select multiple layers. This would be useful if you have multiple layers of a certain type in your map but only want to visualize vertices and nodes on one or some of them as opposed to all of them.
Being able to choose specific layers would be extremely helpful
@BriannaF You mentioned:
instead of being limited to Editable Layers, Snappable Layers, or Visible Layers
Can you expand on why you feel limited with the current software offering of "Snappable Layers" as an option? I agree that having a choice of a specific layer to work with Vertices and Nodes would be helpful, but I'm just trying to understand what issues you ran into with using "snappable layers" as a way of choosing which layers work with Vertices and Nodes.
Thanks for any more information!
I'll just add an additional option that you have today that could potentially be helpful if you have several different sets of layers that you want to visualize in vertices and nodes. You can author several Tasks and in those Task configurations the task setup can turn on/off layer edibility or snapping for layers to match your current setup (these settings will revert at the completion of the Task.).
