Can ESRI enhance the Legend Properties so that one item can be split into multiple columns and he heading be centered above all columns?

Here is the item from the table of contents

The current functionality only allows the header in the line with the other classes in the single item.

Here is an example

I got the result I wanted by deselecting the heading from the Legend properties and inserting text outside of the legend properties, then centering it. All classes start on the same row. This is what we should be able to do from within the legend properties

How is this still not solved in Pro? We can have an item start in a new column, so I would think if an item is split across multiple columns items in that feature class could start in the second position in that column. Seems simple enough.
