Automatically removing categories of zero count,

I used to build a lyr file that contains all possible classes. It happens very often that when this *.lyr file is applied to particular layers (that have similar contents) then some of the classes have zero count.

Is there a chance to be able to automatically remove classes of zero count (such that they don’t appear on the legend)?

Also, sounds not to have the option to sort based on the count!

Thank you

Best

This can already be achieved in the legend options.

Just select the 'Only show classes that are visible in the current map extent' tickbox for the particular layer in your legend and this will hide the items that have a 0 count (since none will be present in the map view)

I'd like to see this in the TOC, not just the legend.

I also agree that I would like to be able to sort on Count.

When domains and subtypes are present, the Count field should work as well.
