When choosing an export location for a PDF export, the Export Map browse box doesn't allow renaming of PDFs as might be expected, since folders are renamable and in other browse boxes, files can be renamed. This would be really nice for circumstances where you want to rename something you did rather than overwrite it without having to go through file explorer -- just to be able to do it right there would be nice.

We need this enhancement as well the ability to delete "New Folder". I unintentionally click Create Folder and there is no way to delete or undo that action without leveraging Catalog pane, Catalog window, or Windows Explorer.

I'd like to see renaming functionality, delete functionality, modify home workspace, and add  as folder connection from a right click in the Browse Dialog. It's very limited to not be able to do these UI actions, and slows me down personally.

@ConnerSchaak  agree. Pro feels very 'bare bones' in this regard.

Agreed. If I remember correctly, this functionality was available in ArcMap and ArcCatalog, right?

@RoseF  you're right. better UI altogether IMO, exporting from the pane in pro is so clunky

I'm sure there's things I don't know about why Pro uses proprietary browse boxes, but at least this and perhaps several other problems would be fixed if they used more of a stock Windows interface (though I'm no software engineer by any means).

It would be nice to be able to rename and move existing files within the dialog boxes where we specify output file names and locations. Currently, we can add new folders but we can't rename or move existing content.

Often I'll get to this point and then realize I need to archive a previous version before writing the new one, and I'll have to back out of the dialog, open File Explorer, navigate to the location, and move or rename the existing file before returning to the task of exporting the new version. It would be so much easier if I could just move or rename the existing file within the dialog, just like I can create a new folder.

Agreed totally!! I use that all the time and very frustrating to jump out for standard file maintenance activities that pretty much every one else supports and the world is used to.

It appears they did a 'roll your own' dialog rather than supporting with standard Windows File Explorer dialogs with extensions for the esri specific stuff like db connections, etc...
