Make it possible for user to import a web map from the Insert Toolbar/import map (where you can import an mxd) rather than just from the Project Pane/Portal/MyContent.

I'm curious about the use case here.  Is the need to download the web layers locally?

Could you provide some background about the need to "import" vs Add & Open?

Hi Kory - thx for the reply... sorry I can't remember much about this one as my post was 3 years ago...  If  add & open is available now, I'm guessing that would meet the needs?  cheers
