When adding or editing text, it would be great to have the option to insert a symbol like a degree symbol or omega symbol, like in CAD or Word. I know you can copy them from word and paste them in the editing box, but that is an extra step.
I've become so spoiled by phone keyboards' easy access to lots of special characters, so I'm always in support of WYSIWYG access to special characters. I'm actually the type who memorizes Alt-Codes, and even I recognize the unhelpfulness of that as a suggestion.
As a stopgap, though, until ESRI sees a need to build this into ArcPro:
If you're on Windows 11 or later (maybe 10?), you can hit the Windows and Semicolon keys to pull up the emoji keyboard, which has a section for certain common special characters, like diacritics (û), trademark (™), math symbols (×), and the like.
@MErikReedAugusta Yes, I know I can copy from other tools but it would be so nice to have it built into the program.
