Snapping is something we all use when editing, In Desktop its as simple as a right click on the mouse and we can snap to anything, anyway. For some reason ArcGIS Pro removed that option and it seriously hinders the ability edit. For my sake and for the sake everyone in the free world, put the snapping options back on the right click menu.

Seems kind of silly that this has been removed. Why?

Good question... the omission has made editing a pain. I also noticed you can't pan the map with the explore tool while creating a feature. When you click on it, the feature you are making disappears. I had to pan with my keyboard arrows.

Use the C key to switch to Explore while editing with another tool: ArcGIS Pro Tips: Shortcut Savvy Navigation | ArcGIS Blog

and Keyboard shortcuts for editing—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop  might be helpful.
