ArcGIS Pro 3.5.0

I've added a FGDB raster to my map from the Catalog pane. The raster is large, so it takes over a minute to be added to the map. Pro is unusable while it's thinking in the background.

Idea: I don't need to see this layer yet in the map. Let me add it to the map in the "turned off" state so I don't have to wait for it to load.

I'm aware I can pause the map. I don't want to pause the whole map, add the layer, turn off the layer, and then reload the whole map again. That's unnecessarily slow.

@Bud

does this option not work in your workflow?

The other alternative is to make a layer file that pulls it in turned off.

I agree with @SimonSchütte_ct .

@TanuHoque I think this idea should be reopened.

Hi @Bud! We will be keeping this Idea as "Already Offered" and, instead, moving @SimonShütte_ct's comment to a separate Idea. Thanks!

"The Layer Visibility recommended by TanuHoque is a global switch. Some more control is needed"
(My comment Bud was referring to, just for context.)
