Dear ExtractByMask Tool Development Team,

I am writing to propose the inclusion of two additional options to the ExtractByMask tool. The suggested enhancements pertain to the ability to specify the {nodata_value} and the {pixel_type} directly within the tool's parameters.

The enhanced tool syntax would appear as follows:

ExtractByMask(in_raster, in_mask_data, {extraction_area}, {analysis_extent}, {pixel_type}, {nodata_value})

Currently, when utilizing the ExtractByMask tool to clip portions of an 8-bit orthophoto, the output occasionally manifests as a 16-bit image. Since it is crucial for us to retain the original pixel depth, a 'pixel_type' option would be extremely beneficial.

Similarly, the inclusion of a 'nodata_value' option would align with the specific requirements of our clients in Japan, who invariably request a nodata_value of 255 when clipping 8-bit orthophotos.

At present, to satisfy the aforementioned needs, I must incorporate two additional steps using the Con and CopyRaster tool to change the nodata value to 255 and alter the pixel depth to 8 bit. It would significantly streamline our operations if these options could be incorporated into the ExtractByMask tool itself.

We would greatly appreciate it if these enhancements could be considered for inclusion in your next release.

Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter.

Best regards,
