It would be very helpful for ArcGIS Pro to have a Geometry Guides setting similar to what the ArcGIS Online Map Viewer already does. I know ArcGIS Pro already has a right angle line tool when creating new lines or polygons, but that is not available when editing vertices. A global/universal Geometry Guide setting in ArcGIS Pro would:
I do not want this to replace the any tools but instead compliment the editing tools that are already available.
Here is an example from Map Viewer of what I am talking about. I created a line feature, and the geometry guides let me know that I have a right angle, the third line is parallel to the other side, and the end is now perpendicular to the starting point.
Have you tried inference constraints?

I find these really handy and they can be disabled/enabled easily with the button below the map.
@ZachBodenner thank you for the information and I had not until now. The inference constraints is partially what I am looking for. However, I would like to have the visual cues that the Map Viewer has with the geometry guides, and the inference constraints did not work for me when editing vertices of existing features.
That's definitely a shortcoming (perhaps I feel an Idea coming on...). More visual cues would be a help for sure though!
@AlexZhuk
Indeed. Count me in with the 'complain about performance' crowd. I detest having my time wasted by bad code. The Pro UI is one of the worst I've ever used from a responsiveness point of view - before any data is loaded.
Buuuttttt if this Idea is a setting we can turn on & off, we can use it when we need it.
Not having to create additional geometry in a scratch layer just for vertex editing will make life so much easier.
