Add an “Export History” Button to the Geoprocessing History Window in ArcGIS Pro
While reviewing the ArcGIS Pro 3.7 updates, I noticed the valuable addition of custom descriptions for history entries in the geoprocessing framework. I believe it would be highly advantageous to also include an “Export History” button in the geoprocessing history window toolbar.
Short-term benefits:
When developing new workflows, users often need to adjust tools or parameters. Being able to export the complete geoprocessing history—including tool names and user-added comments—would make it much easier to track changes and manage different workflow versions, ultimately supporting the creation of a final, refined workflow.
Long-term benefits:
An exported file containing all geoprocessing tool details and comments could be used with AI platforms to automatically generate formal workflow documentation. This would streamline documentation processes and improve knowledge sharing across teams.
I believe this feature would add significant value for both individual users and organizations. Thank you for considering this suggestion!
