Please ESRI, I beg you, give us the ability to save field mappings when creating locators. It takes me a long time to field map my fields to yours, and worse, if I accendentally pick the wrong field, I have to start over from scratch. If I could save and later load the field mapping, it would save me so much time and frustration. Thank you for considering!
This would be VERY helpful. It could be similar to the calculate fields functionality where you can save out and then load up calculate statements.
If you have already done the field mapping once and run the Create Locator tool, you can go to the History pane and do one of the following:
1. Open the previously run tool and adjust the field mapping and run the tool again.
2. Right-click the previously run tool and select save as Geoprocessing package. This will package up the tool settings and data used in the tool. You add the geoprocessing package to your project and go to the History pane to see the previously run tool and open it to rerun the tool with the same data. https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/3.5/help/analysis/geoprocessing/share-analysis/use-a-geoprocessing...
3. Right-click the previously run tool and select to save as Python or a Model.
