We ask for the ability for ArcGIS Pro Project Templates to be able to create copies of the File Geodatabases they reference instead of referencing the source location where the Project Template was created. This is important, as Project Templates are not always sourced from/on the Local C: environment. Other users may not have access to specific environments where the Project Template is being referenced from, which causes issues with Project Templates opening correctly in different environments with permissions, etc.
If you reopen the project template in a new environment, the ArcGIS Pro Project 2 file contains geodatabase connections. The original from the template and the GDB created by default in ArcGIS Pro.
The aim is for users to download this project template and open it in ArcGIS Pro so that no new default GDB is created.
This affects 50 employees in our company.
