ArcGIS Pro 2.8.2 Now Available

Greetings Parcel Fabric Community!

ArcGIS Pro 2.8.2 was made available on August 5, 2021.  There were several defect fixes for the ArcGIS Parcel Fabric included in this release.

These include:

  • BUG-000137947 -  An imported ArcMap traverse that is a non-loop cannot have a closing location set if the traverse is being digitized and the desired closing location has a mis-close Distance smaller than 0.01 meters.
  • BUG-000140067-  The Activate Record of Selected Feature is grayed out in ArcGIS Pro 2.8
  • BUG-000141258 - ERROR 001487: Failed to update the published service with the server-side data location

Additional Information:

BUG-000141258 Failure when Publishing a Parcel Fabric to ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9, was found when the Upgrade Dataset geoprocessing tool was used on a parcel fabric to upgrade the parcel fabric to a version 4 parcel fabric using ArcGIS Pro 2.8 or 2.8.1.  Note the Upgrade Dataset geoprocessing tool can be used on a parcel fabric in a file geodatabase and copied into an enterprise database or run on parcel fabric that is already in an enterprise database.

If the Upgrade Dataset geoprocessing tool was run in ArcGIS Pro 2.8 or 2.8.1, the parcel fabric will not publish and fails with, ERROR 001487: Failed to update the published service with the server-side data location and ERROR 001369: Failed to create the service.

This has been fixed at 2.8.2.

If you are experiencing these errors when trying to publish, after upgrading the parcel fabric using ArcGIS Pro 2.8 or 2.8.1, install 2.8.2.  Once 2.8.2 is installed run the Upgrade Dataset geoprocessing tool on the parcel fabric again. This will correct the parcel fabric and you will then be able to publish.

If you have not upgraded the parcel fabric to version 4 and you are using ArcGIS Pro 2.8 or 2.8.1, please install 2.8.2 and then use the Upgrade Dataset geoprocessing tool on the parcel fabric to upgrade the parcel fabric to version 4.

If you experience problems after installing this patch, please log a case with technical support.

As always, we welcome ideas, enhancements and suggestions on our ArcGIS Parcel Fabric Ideas place.

The Parcel Fabric Team.
