Time settings not available even when temporal data is present

Hello,

I'm tryimg to add a timeline to the map, and following this guide I expect the time option would be available for a layer, since the data I uploaded contains data field type "date" - but the option is still not available.

Have I missed something here?

Did you enable time on the layer itself?
