I've been working on making a time-series map application in ArcGIS online. If I understand correctly, if I try to publish a map with a time-enabled layer, a time slider will automatically appear on the web app. I know how to enable time on my shapefile in Desktop, but when I compress the shapefile, add the .zip file to my online map, then publish with the basic viewer, there is no time slider. I think after I enable the time on my layer in Desktop I'm not saving something correctly so that the time-enabled properties are not preserved in the compressed file. Can anyone tell me how to save and add a time-enabled layer to a web map? Many thanks!
