Hello all,

I am struggling to get my web map to go offline for use in Collector for ArcGIS. I've read everything I can find on the internet but nothing seems to be working.

I have gone to the Settings tab for each layer and clicked "Enable Sync" and for the layer that the employees will be editing, I have enabled sync as well as some editing constraints (see attached image). I have also selected basemaps from ESRI that are designed to be exported and when I have attempted to download tiles and create a tile package (.tpk) the file is empty. I'm currently downloading imagery for the several counties we serve in the hopes that I can create my own basemap but even if I accomplish that, I'm worried that the map still won't go offline.

Any thoughts or pointers would be appreciated. Thanks.

So you do not need to use the "For Export" basemaps in your web map. You just use the standard raster esri basemaps in your gallery like topographic and imagery etc and Collector handles the logic for grabbing the export tiles.  Also I noticed in your group you have a vector tile layer export layer. Those are not supported in the classic Collector and only supported in Collector Aurora which is in beta.

Can you switch to the esri topographic basemap in your basemap gallery and save the map. Then you can either check in Collector by refreshing the map gallery to see if its picked up or not. Next you can switch to the esri imagery basemap and save the map. I also included my version of the map that has the same layers and is offline ready called "NC Offline Copy Russ" it doesn't have any scale ranges to the layers like you set but has all the layers and can be a starting point for you and is already on the imagery basemap and doesnt need to be swapped.

What error are you seeing when you try to take the map offline? If possible can you share the web map and layers?

I cannot get to the point where I try to take the map offline. Is it possible I can send you the link privately?

Create a group and invite russell_jsapi into that group that has the maps and layers.
