When I try to open some of my Web Maps on the ArcGIS Online Map Viewer when using a tablet (Apple iPad) an error message comes up saying "An error occurred loading this layer", however, when I am using a laptop this is not a problem and the Web Maps load as intended.

The error message does not provide any additional details explaining why this may be the case. Does anyone happen to know why this might be happening and how to solve the issue?

Hey @allgoeverzach,

  • Could you provide us with a screenshot or a video of what is showing up when you try and open the layer?
  • Are you trying to open this layer as a different user on the tablet or as the same owner?
  • What do the layers represent / what is the project?
  • Has this issue happened before June 2024?

Hello @Koen I am opening this layer as the same owner and I have the map layer shared with my entire organization regardless. The map layer represents the City's storm water sewer infrastructure.

This first image displays how the map layer appears on the Survey123 field app when accessing these forms using a laptop.

This next image shows how the map layer appears when I access the form using the field app on a phone.

It is clear that the storm water infrastructure data is not populating on the map while using the field app on a phone. This same problem is happening when I try to load the map layer that is linked to the forms in my ArcGIS online account.

Also, this issue has not happened before June 2024.

Do you have any ideas of what might be causing this problem? Thanks.
