Predefined geometry in feature template for use in ArcGIS Online

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone has had any luck creating predefined geometry's within feature templates for use in ArcGIS Online. Article below details how the process can be achieved in ArcGIS Pro, however publishing a feature layer with a feature template does not allow for the predefined geometry's to be used (only attributes come through in the template).

I have exactly the same need. It would be great to have this feature in ArcGIS Online.
