Has anyone encountered Visualization problem when uploading shp (zip) file on ArcGIS Online? The polygons are all displaced and overlapped with each other!

I am sharing the link with the layer of the displaced polygons,

in case the link doesnt work, the problem seems like that:

Hey Asterios,

Are the polygons in ArcMap in a geodatabase by chance?

Hey Tim thank you for your response,

no , they are in a shp.

Do you suggest to store them in a FGD and then export the FC from the FGD

to make a zip for ArcGIS Online?

You could try that or re-project your shapefile to WGS 1984 Web Mercator (auxiliary sphere)  within ArcGIS Desktop before you upload it.

I tried to re-project it but nothing changed, but while I was making again

the same procedure (uploading the zip file) I noticed again that there is

an option before uploading to generalize the features for web display, I

didnt select it this time and the polygons appear with no problem. So, I

guess that was the probelm.

Thank you again,

Asterios

Yes, generalization can help performance, but it will alter your polygons (usually by removing verticies).
