Overwrite web layer from ArcGIS Pro stuck on "Uploading Service Definition"

I'm trying to overwrite one of my hosted feature layers with a layer from ArcGIS Pro, as I've done many times in the past. It gets stuck on "Uploading Service Definition".

Version is 3.0 (I know I should update it, but it was able to do this yesterday. I have to call IT every time I update and it's a whole thing, so I hang on to the versions that work for me)

I have a Standard license and I'm signed in everywhere.

I just went searching for a solution to this and happened upon this active post. I'm also stuck on "Uploading service definition" today.

Random failures now from Task Scheduler, and failure from Pro. I submitted a ticket and I think everyone should do that.

From Esri support:

The following status information is available for this Incident: INC-005042 - Layers are slow to publish from ArcGIS Pro to ArcGIS Online and stall on 'Uploading service definition'.

We have confirmed the incident and are investigating.
