I have a webmap in arcgis online that shows data without any errors but there are some layers missing in the layer overview (content) and the save button is missing too. I use this webmap in my webapp and there are all layers visible and working.

Any idea how to fix this?

Hello Lukas,

Usually the Save button doesn't appear when the browser isn't recognizing that you're signed in. I see your name in the top right so I'm assuming this isn't the case.

Do you see this issue in:

  • Other browsers on the same machine?
  • In an incognito/private browsing window (in the same browser provider and others)?
  • On other networks?
  • On other machines in the same network?

This would help narrow down where the issue is occurring.

Thanks!

Best regards,

Rachel

Hello Rachel,

  • Other browsers on the same machine? -> tested with IE, firefox, Chrome
  • In an incognito/private browsing window (in the same browser provider and others)? -> yes
  • On other networks? -> yes
  • On other machines in the same network? -> yes

Only this webmap causes the issue. When i try to edit another webmap the save button is visible (see screenshot below)

Hello Lukas,

It sounds like you may be hitting a webmap-specific corruption issue. We may be able to see additional errors through Fiddler, but ultimately I think the best solution here may be to create a new web map and get rid of the old one. But we can take another look at it for you in Support Services. Can you give us a call to create a case?

We look forward to hearing from you!

Hi Lukas,

Is this your web map or is it owned by someone else?

There is a setting that owners can set on web maps which prevents copies from being saved. If you own the map, then Tech Support will be the best place to start.

Hi Kelly,

i am the owner of the webmap, so there can't be any permission issue (should be).

Funny side note: creating a new webmap with the exact same layers, works like a charm.

Any ideas?
