Map Viewer Analysis: How do you feed it a selection?

How do you feed the analysis pane a selected feature? 

It's map-aware enough to find the layers in your map, but not enough to tell if there's a selection. For example, here I have one feature selected but it's counting the other feature in this table.

You can do it in experience builder from the feature's popup, but I can't seem to find a way to send it in Map Viewer.
