I have a few new employees that have never used ArcGIS online and are new to GIS in general. I wan them to take some
free or low cost training. I usually use the ESRI ArcGIS training catalog, but the webinars and training are about a year old and do not include any of the new AGOL features (joining tables, Arcade, hosted views, etc).
Anyone know if newer AGOL training.
Thanks
Katy

You would be advised to see if newer materials are being incorporated into current workshops ie

https://blogs.esri.com/esri/arcgis/2017/06/07/introducing-a-new-experience-for-searching-and-viewing...

plus go to https://community.esri.com/community/gis/web-gis/arcgisonline?sr=search&searchId=42c56bd5-4794-4797-...‌ and click on the Blogs link to keep up with new additions and links.

I would check out the free recorded technical sessions from the various conferences. They have all levels and some are very recent.  More are added all the time (i.e. after the July User Conference...probably available in August)

E360 Video Search | Esri Videos     youtube also has a channel esri - YouTube

Looking on the main https://www.arcgis.com/home/index.html  page, there is a link to Learn ArcGIS   that you can check out.

You may want to check out The ArcGIS Book   which was release a couple years ago. (sorry, I haven't used it myself)

There are MOOC (Massive online ..OC?...training classes) that are free too.  Self paced, but over about ascheduled  6-week period usually.  Here is an older blog, but it will lead you to more

Earth Imagery at Work free online MOOC from Esri | ArcGIS Blog

And I guess you have already checked out https://www.esri.com/training/arcgis-online-training/

Some of these may be a year old, but they are still good for getting started.

But the best way sometimes is just to jump in and try things.  However, I would suggest limiting the number of credits an individual can use so that if they click on something to try, which eats credits, it should warn them and/or limit (crash?) if they try to geocode the world, for example.

Hello Rebecca,

Thanks for noting Esri's Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) program as a resource for learning about ArcGIS Online. While all of the MOOCs use ArcGIS Online to some degree, the focus of the courses is not to teach students to use the software, but rather to addresses broader topics such as spatial analysis, location analytics, no and low-code app developments, imagery use and more. The latest calendar and registration information are at http://www.esri.com/mooc.

There are also some free lessons about common workflows on the Learn ArcGIS site: Lesson Gallery | Learn ArcGIS

Thank you everyone for all of the great resources. In addition I received an email from Carol - ESRI traning specialist. I have attached to this post the two pdfs she gave me. One is for ArcGIS Online Training and one for ArcGIS Pro. Each pdf has dozens of live hyperlinks to ESRI  training courses and videos !!
