Legend for embedded web map

Is there a way to have the legend defaulted to open on an embedded web map?  Currently our web maps and apps are hosted on ArcGIS Online.

Hi Deena,

Yes, you can do this with URL parameters. Check out using the minimalist application or the legend=true&active_panel=legend  parameters outlined in the layout section of this documentation:
