Layers not showing up

I have had a bit of a problem with this for some time, however we are planning on releasing links to our map this weekend, so I need to get it fixed ASAP. And it seems to be getting worse.

I successfully created a basic map using information that had been published to our server. I asked our GIS dept to publish a single sewer layer for our department's specific use. They did so. I loaded it. I could see it online, but when I opened it on my phone/ iPad, I could not see it. It is in the legend and is turned on. Today I started dropping all of the other layers- meaning I cannot see them on my phone (iPhone 4). I turned off the application, turned off the phone, restarted everything and nothing changed. So I actually recreated the map. It all showed up for a second online, but then my internet locked up and I had to close it. When I went back, the layers are there and I can see some of them, however when I open the map on my phone - whether I am signed in to my account or not - I cannot see the layers. The only thing that has been consistent is the aerial. I was wondering if there were the same rhyme and reason between draw order online as there is in the desktop software, but when I change the draw order online it actually appears reversed on my phone and there is not a way to move them.

Any insight would be great as I really like this little app and want to share it with the public.

Can you share the URL to the service you're having problems with?

Just to be clear, you can view the service fine when looking at the map in ArcGIS.com map viewer, but not when you view the map on the iPhone App? Or are you trying to look at it on the phone through the safari browser on the phone?

Thanks,

Mike

By URL do you mean to the map? You can find the map (it's public) by searching for the tag City of Lawton. There should be two, neither of which are working for me.

You are correct; I can see the items I add online, but cannot see them through the ESRI iPhone application. Last night I got one layer to work, but then lost it. I am going to try uninstalling and reinstalling the application.

This is probably the issue... Your GIS Server doesn't seem to be publicly available. I am unable to view the services in your map. The reason it works for you is because you are working inside your company's firewall, and thus, you have access to the server. That's why it works from a web browser when viewing the map. When you attempt to view the map from the phone, the phone has the same problem I do that over the cell network, your internal GIS server is not available.

Hope this helps,

Mike
