Hi

I am working for a utilities customer who needs to clearly label features on a map that are designated critical assets. I am doing this by applying a simple arcade function to have the label read:

"CRITICAL ASSET - CONTACT xyz"

Problem is, many of these critical assets are large polygons covering many square kilometres, and the label is only applied once to each polygon. If the area in which the engineer is working is far away from where the label sits, they could have no idea the asset is critical and could be putting themselves in danger.

I can have this label centre on the screen in ArcGIS Pro, but this functionality doesn't seem to be available in ArcGIS Online. Is there any way of making this possible?

This is on our roadmap to support dynamic centroid placement for the polygons so if you are only viewing a part of the polygon or zoomed in on one and are not at the center of the polygon the label will find the center of the polygon in view. We were hoping to get it into this recent update but were not able to. We are aiming for this for the release coming in the new year. This will not require any map updates or arcade changes.

Brilliant news thanks for replying! I'll keep an eye out for this in future updates.
