Is there any drawback if I remove the administrator that started the ArcGIS Online subscription? Basically I don't like the fact that I activated the subscription with my esri global account instead of creating another user.
No there isn't a problem. You will need to promote another user to administrator, remove any items and groups from the original administrator, then the second administrator should be able to delete the first.
