How to Identify Web Map Viewer Classic Maps

We have been working on migrating content away from Map Viewer Classic and Web App Builder.  I am trying to identify which maps in our organization are still using Map Viewer Classic but am not seeing a clear way to identify them. When I look at an item page or put a filter on the content, everything just says Web map as the item type.

Is there any way to identify which maps are using Map Viewer Classic or are we in a position of just having to open them all and resave in Map Viewer?  Not all of the maps are associated with a Web App Builder application so I can't rely on that method to catch them all.

Hi @KatherineMichael

There is no need to open maps and re-save them in the Map Viewer. Maps created in Classic should work in Map Viewer without you taking any additional steps. Hope that helps! Emily

Hi @EmilyGeo ,

That does help.  We were confused as to what would happen to existing maps upon Classic retirement and removal from the platform.  I'm very glad I don't have to try and sort through our hundreds of maps! 😅
