Hi there,
We have data shared from our Organisation's AGOL to an ArcGIS Hub site as open data.
I have been tasked with ensuring data downloads from the Hub site use the proper field names and not the aliases.
What I have discovered so far is that if I toggle on the Export setting 'Allow others to export to different formats.', the field aliases will be used. If the setting is off, the field names come through. (I was downloading CSVs testing this.)
Does anyone know of an other way to control this behaviour, without having to turn off 'Allow others to export to different formats.' ?
Thanks,
Claire
Hi @ClaireC,
You can use Experience Builder for Controlled Exports:
Exporting tables via Experience Builder preserves field aliases only when exporting selected records. Exporting all records tends to revert to field names. This might give you more granular control depending on your workflow.
Hi @Priya_Das11 ,
Thanks for your reply and suggestion. I was hoping there would be some way to configure this directly on the layer as the public would be downloading via the Hub initiative page, not through an app.
Kind regards,
Claire
