Is it possible to export a feature from a web map to the desktop.
I've read it should be posible to save the map es a "map package", but I can't figure out how to do so.

Thanks,

Chris

Currently, it is not possible to export web map features to ArcGIS Desktop. Map packages can only be created from ArcGIS Desktop. There will be improved support for reading web maps at ArcGIS Desktop 10.1. Layers stored in the map (map notes, shapefiles, csvs) become feature classes that can be saved.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

I am having the same problem, is there a way to export a map notes layer (on ARCGISonline) into the desktop app?

Thankyou,

Sam

ArcGIS Pro supports connecting to ArcGIS online and directly opening web maps. If the map has a map notes layer, it will be visible in Pro too.

Thanks,

Mike
