Difference between Map viewer legend and printed legend using group layers

Hi, I've noticed some differences in how group layers are displayed in the map viewer legend and the printed map legend. The group names are not shown in the printed map legend. The following captures show the difference between the two legends:
When I check what is sent to the printing tool service, I can see that the 'web_map_as_json' object does not contain information about groups; only the four layers are sent as operational layers.
Is this a known limitation of the print widget/printing tool service? Is there a way to obtain the same legend in the printed document as in the legend widget of a web map application?
