Deleted service definition

I accidentally deleted the service definition for one of my hosted feture layers in AGOL. Now I can't overwrite the service. I have tried exporting the feature layer and republishing it, the only problem is that I lose the editor and creation tracking records. Is there a way to avoid this?

Hi,

There isn't a way to re-add an SD file so you can overwrite the source Feature service. You can publish a layer and maintain editor tracking through the REST API. Check out these previous discussions with a method on how to maintain editor tracking:
