CSV --> Hosted Feature Layer - No Time Settings (Yes, I got a date field!)

Hello everyone,

It's almost all in the title: I have a csv, I formatted the time field as explained here https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/manage-data/work-with-date-fields.htm

When I imported the CSV, AGOL recognized the field as a DATE field, but once imported (without any error), the hosted feature layer properties page shows an empty space where the TIME SETTING enabling option should be.

I have done this hundreds of times.... any idea?

I've encountered this before and it stemmed from the "time field" not being set in the service definition, even though there was a date field. You might check this.

Austin, thanks for the reply and the suggestion!

How do I check the service definition? I think I never did before (usually I just have to check that the field type is correct during the upload - see the screenshot)

Thanks!

Try the following:

Go to your hosted layer's Details page.

On the left-ish side of that page click the point layer link.

On the right side of this next page, scroll down and you should see a time settings toggle, far right side.

Hi, that's the process I usually do and that's exactly the problem... there's no time settings toggle where it should be!
