Create/View Pop-Up disabled in recent Map Viewer Update

I updated a parcel pop-up in map viewer about a week ago but now I've lost the ability to access or edit this pop-up. Did recent updates disable this functionality?

This item is a map image layer - i am trying to update property_poly_with_data. However, I am able to edit pop-ups in other map image layers.

I was able to do this a week ago and now I've lost this ability. Any ideas?

Based on this post it sounds like popups could only be configured on map image layers in map view classic but I think that was retired earlier this year. Is there a reason you can't publish as a feature layer? Is query enabled? Is this a join layer?

Hi @C_McNamara as you mentioned configuring pop-ups on Map Image Layers is supported in Map Viewer. However, the experience can differ depending on the capabilities of the Map Service. If the service supports query and/or identify and is drawn dynamically from data you should see the regular pop-up configuration experience. If the service is tiled then you will see the message you're seeing in the screenshot. This help documentation outlines the latter pop-up authoring process.

It would be good to now if your Map Image Layer's configuration changed recently via an overwrite. Do you mind confirming the capabilities your service supports? This information can be found at the service REST endpoint and listed under the "capabilities" property. If your service supports query and/or identify then I would encourage you to contact Support so the team can debug your situation. Thanks.

We do have a support ticket already. We overwrote this service about 3 weeks ago but since then have been updating the pop-up extensively in map viewer to prepare for a new roll out of an Experience Builder application. Could this been related to the June update? I see this issue in other cached layers with identify as well. We last looked at this a week ago before the update. Thanks!

I found another cached overlay that has the same issue. We haven't overwritten this service in years. we were able to create a custom pop-up but now we lost the functionality.

Thanks for the detail. Unfortunately I'm unable to access your service, but the screenshot does suggest that identify is supported. I'm glad you've already submitted a ticket with support. Do you mind passing along the ticket number?

This could be a regression introduced with the June update, but having access to your service or an example that reproduces your issue will help confirm that.
