Copy_Raster Overwrite for Hosted Imagery?

Hi,

It doesn't appear possible to be to overwrite an existing hosted imagery using arcgis python api copy_raster.

What would be the best way to update a hosted image?

Maybe I'm going about this wrong way.

I have a number of 3 band 8bit images that cover a large, but not continuous area.  

I'm using a mosaic dataset, converting to a CRF and using copy_raster to publish.

The files are updated, sometimes often.

Would a better idea be publishing as a regular tile cache?  No special functionality is required.
