Configure 'Search' on Basic Viewer Web Application

Is there any way of Configuring a Address Search function using your own layer on the 'Basic Viewer' template of the Web Application?

No there isn't a way to do this with the default application.

If you know JavaScript, you could download the application, customize it and put it on your web server. You'd have to have your own ArcGIS Server with a geocode service running that you could point to.
