change DEM in elevation profile template

I would like to use the elevation profile template but the default DEM has a poor resolution in my region. Does anyone know, how to change the default DEM? How can I link the elevation profile to my own data/DEM?

SOE appears in version 10.5 of ArcGIS Server. When is the planned date for removal of SOE?

There is no planned date of removal for SOE support. Many people have integrated these capabilities into their apps and we plan to continue to support them for the foreseeable future.
