I am not an expert to ArcGIS Online, however, I managed to publish a couple of services from my hosted server.    The question I would like to seek for advice is...

From a service I published, I have a layer called 'parcel' and would like to setup a hyperlink for each individual parcel using a field containing tax id (GeoID), which I would like to link to the County Appraisal District.   However, there are over 15,000 parcels to add link to and maintain once link being established.   Is/are there a method to add hyperlink from the existing field, and how to maintain the data to current when the Appraisal District made changes on their site?   Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hi Jay,

Thank you so much for the informative information, sorry to take a while for me to respond.   Other projects take priority.

Anyway, as stated I'm no programmer, and got a bit of confuse when filling in the URL from Link Properties.   There are over 15K parcels/records, does this mean I have to assign each parcel in the URL it's own GeoID?

The complete URL for our appraisal district is:  http://collincad.org/propertysearch

Again, any help is greatly appreciated.

Richard

Richard,

You can configure your Parcel layers Pop-up to include a hyperlink to your Appraisal District's site. In the Configure Pop-up window choose A custom attribute display in the display drop-down menu under Pop-up Contents. Then click on Configure. In the Custom Attribute Display Editor select the Create Link button and fill in your Link Properties. URL:  http://AppraisalDistrict.com/taxid={GeoID} Description: Parcel Info

Include any other fields you'd like in the editor as well for example:

Owner:

{Owner_Name}

Address: {Property_Address}

Property Description:

{Legal_Description}

Acreage: {Acreage}

Tax District: {Tax_District}
