Hey Folks,

We have a ArcGIS Online Group of 12 individuals.  We have already published a Map Gallery using the share button.  Each group member must make a map; we have a total of 4 maps thus far.

My question/issue is, how do I add those 4 maps to the gallery...?

Thanks in advance!

The gallery should reflect any web maps in the group. I can't remember off the top of my head whether or not you can "sign in" when viewing a gallery. If not, the web maps will also need to be shared publicly and with the group.

thanks,

Thanks for the help Mike.  Like I said in the original post.  We have 4 maps thus far; all are shared with the group, and are all web maps created on ArcGIS Online.  When I click the Map Gallery link and access the Map Gallery for our group, directly in the middle of the page it says 'No Maps Were Found'.  I'd really like to add the 4 maps to the gallery for our group to view.

Thanks again for the help!

I have made some progress.  The group was attempting to share the maps within the group only.  Since that was not working, we checked the 'everyone' box under the share button.

That helped, maps have begun to appear in the Gallery now.

Thanks for all the help.

I have another question, can I organize the maps within the gallery?  It seems they get place in random order.

If your group is public, then all web maps shared to it need to be public as well in order to be seen in the gallery. If your group is private, then you would be prompted to sign in first, which would then allow you to see the web maps shared just to the group.

As far as ordering what you see in the gallery, you can control sorting from the item in your My Content that represents the map gallery. Look for the Configure App button. This provides some control over the sorting order. You can sort by date, ascending or descending, for example.

Thanks,

Mike
