I added a bunch of zip compressed shapefiles to "My Contents" in my arcgis account.  I then opened a map i had previously made and tried to add these shapefiles to it.  No luck.  They didnt even show up in the search box when i searched using the tag words i assigned and under 'My Contents'.  Anyone know why?  I can add them from the actual file on my desktop, but not from within my arcgis account.
thanks

Currently, the only way to add a shapefile to a web map is from the map viewer of ArcGIS.com. We have considered adding from My Content, but just haven't.

Thanks,

Mike

Yeah that's always been that way and it's stated in the help about what you can add into a webmap. I'd suggest reading through that...

What do you mean "run time over" message? Are you using Internet Explorer? I suspect there may be too much data in your shapefile. Post it here and we can take a look at it.
