I was trying to clean up a user who had left the organization and could not get the user changed from a Creator. I finally called ESRI technical support and there were three hidden items (FGDBs) that belonged to the user. In order to see the file, they had me run a python script in Notebook. My idea suggestion, can we just have a button or check box for an Admin to see to see hidden items for a user?
@MAllen I hope you have your issue sorted. I had the same problem. Support provided a url with modifiers to include hidden items. I hope this helps someone else. Replace the two parts: <enter start of url for your org>, <enter name of user>
This post will probably be hard to find because I don't think most people are aware there is such a thing as hidden items in ArcGIS Online
https://<enter start of url for your org>.maps.arcgis.com/home/content.html?sortField=modified&sortOrder=desc&user=<enter name of user>&view=table&sortOrder=desc&sortField=modified&folder=all#content
I have used a hidden tag in the past in the url after a support ticket, but that doesn't seem to work anymore. I have a user with only webmaps left and now an number of empty folders in their content, but when I go to delete a specific folder in their account (that is empty), it tells me there are 18 items it is going to delete. I can't find them anywhere. There is an option on the delete screen to click on the number 18 and it shows me the items, which I can then open from that window. It clearly shows the correct owner and folder, but this is the only way to find the content. Looks like a couple of packages and SQL lite databases of tracks. Can't change owner on these either. Seems like every update of AGOL more stuff ends up being hidden so it is harder and harder to remove people from our org.
